The College Bookstore Network Overview

Who? LevelVision has developed a series of unique and exciting digital signage products for level surfaces. Our products are so unique that we hold over 25 issued patents with more than 100 pending. Our IntelliMat product, pictured to the right, lays flat on the floor, and is so tough you can drive an SUV over it. At less than 1" thick, it can be placed just about anywhere in a retail environment to engage consumers with a variety of messages.

What? LevelVision, in conjunction with its strategic partners, is rolling out the College Bookstore Network (CBN) with the IntelliMat product over the next 90 days. We have selected 200 of the best college bookstores, based on school enrollment, DMA (designated market area), likely sales, and other factors. LevelVision is providing the equipment, installation and network operations as well as advertising and other content.

Why? Generation Y (people born between 1978 and 2000) at more than 70 million people, represent 26% of the population. These "Millennials" have unique marketing traits characterized by their distinctive fondness and familiarity with technology. Some 4,450 college bookstores, serving 4,216 institutions, are a prominent intercept location for the 17.5 million students, or Millennials. These students spend more than $10.5 billion a year in college bookstores on products ranging from computers and books to sweatshirts, toothpaste and school supplies. The IntelliMat device represents the epitome of technology and research has shown its superior ability to engage all consumers, particularly Millennials.

Where? The initial deployment of 200 locations will cover the top 50 DMAs and 8 of 12 NCAA Division I conferences. As planned, the network will be in 93 cities across 42 states and the District of Columbia. The CBN is scheduled to be fully operational by March 1, 2009.

How? LevelVision is providing the IntelliMat device, installed, at no charge, to college bookstores who agree to participate in the program. Each bookstore receives 6, 10 second slots to promote apparel or other items or messages of its choosing. LevelVision will secure advertisers for the remainder of the 5 minute content loop. There is a published set of Advertising Guidelines available on request. LevelVision has partnered with C&N Sports, BroadSign (software), Comm-Works (installation), Sprint, Verizon Wireless (broadband communication) and others to deploy one of the most unique, engaging and reliable digital signage networks available. Participating locations are asked to sign a store authorization and then site surveys are conducted by LevelVision personnel to insure optimal placement and operation. Sites are scheduled for installation and then become operational. Content is managed remotely and the network is continually monitored. The network can target individual sites, manage content by dayparts and provide Arbitron certified proof of play reports.
